Ford presents the new EcoSport in India

The next global model from Ford will be unveiled at the New Delhi show and will be the new generation of the EcoSport, a small SUV that has been sold in South America for a few years now with very interesting sales figures. And as before, the new EcoSport will be a key vehicle for the markets that Ford has in Brazil, China or India.

Unlike the previous model, which was based on the Fiesta platform, the new EcoSport that Ford will show in New Delhi has now adopted a more pronounced lean towards a definitive crossover line, which further accentuates its off-road qualities, as we can see that the ground clearance is considerably greater than before.

Although the new EcoSport is a product that was created in Brazil, China and India and will be sold exclusively in the developing markets of Ford, the availability of the EcoSport in the US or Europe is not that far off and is being considered for the future. Like the Ford Fiesta, which has reached as far as the US, these models could make their way to Europe. I think it would be a very attractive model if we had it here; it would become a more interesting option than it seems at first glance within its segment.
