Ford reminds us of the three-cylinder Ecoboost engine in the new Ford Fiesta
Ford has now fully confirmed the three-cylinder Ecoboost engine for the new Ford Fiesta, which joins the model’s engine lineup next month.

It was an open secret and, therefore, an almost obligatory step for Ford; to equip the Fiesta with the three-cylinder Ecoboost engine. And it will do so with a version delivering an impressive 120 hp, more power than the other four-cylinder entry-level engines that will equip the Fiesta from next year onward.
The new Fiesta will be unveiled at the Los Angeles show, along with the new front end the Fiesta will adopt, featuring a grille almost similar to that of the Focus ST and striking LED lights, something we already got a little preview of at the last Paris show.
Following the ECOnetic Technology variant, which is expected to offer CO2 emissions of 87 g/km and fuel consumption of 3.3 litres/100 km, and the three-cylinder Ecoboost, the engine range will be joined by the new 1.5 TDCi diesel with 75 hp, which will be offered for the first time in the Fiesta, as well as the addition of Start-Stop and the Ford 6-speed PowerShift gearbox.
