Ford reveals the technical specifications for Europe of the Mustang GT

The Ford Mustang GT has arrived in Europe, although deliveries to European buyers will not begin until July. However, the American brand’s offices have made public the specifications this model will have in European countries.

The new Ford Mustang GT will arrive at dealerships across Europe during July. We have been waiting a while since the arrival of this popular American model in European markets was announced, but we finally have the technical specifications it will show on our roads.

To begin with, we know it will have a V8 engine capable of delivering 415 CV of power and a maximum torque of 530 Nm, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The Ford Mustang GT can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. This will not be the only engine the manufacturer offers at European dealerships.

The Ford Mustang GT for Europe has specific specifications for this market. Buyers of this model will also be able to opt for a 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine, which becomes the entry level of the range. This other engine delivers 313 CV of power and a maximum torque of 432 Nm. This engine allows this version of the model to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds, using a manual gearbox.

The EcoBoost engine offers better efficiency, as its consumption is rated at 8 litres per 100 kilometres. The emissions recorded by this powertrain are 179 g/km. The V8 engine has higher figures, reaching 12 litres per 100 kilometres, and its CO2 emissions reach 281 g/km, in this case paired with the automatic transmission. This difference demonstrates the efficiency of EcoBoost engines, which have been fitted to the brand’s models for several years.

The European version of the Ford Mustang GT is subtly different from its American sibling, as the brand has made some modifications to adapt to the regulations and most common specifications on our continent. In addition, it comes as standard with 19-inch wheels, automatic HID headlights, LED rear lights, a rear diffuser, dual-zone climate control, a nine-speaker sound system and SYNC 2 connectivity with voice control and an 8-inch touchscreen.

Since the ordering period began, 2,200 units have been requested across Europe, a number of orders that demonstrates the interest this model holds for European customers.
