From today, Lancia returns to Spain: sales of the Ypsilon begin

The Lancia Ypsilon can now be booked at any of the dealerships the brand has opened in Spanish territory and which it expects to double within a year.

For several years now, one of Europe’s best-known brands has not been sold in Spain. Lancia had almost completely disappeared from the map, and it was impossible to find a new model of the brand. But this situation has changed, and from 8 July the new model from the Italian brand begins to be sold in our country. A model that, incidentally, is manufactured in Spain.

The Lancia Ypsilon represents the return of the brand not only to Spain, but to the entire European market. The first units of this model will be delivered from October onwards, so everything is in place for Lancia to become a brand to watch in our market.

At present, there are 10 Casa Lancia dealerships in our country, although there are also 19 official brand service centres. All of them are located in the main Spanish cities. The expectation is that by 2025 there will be 20 sales points and 30 official service centres. This is a fairly significant expansion aimed at ensuring sales grow steadily so as to soon cover the whole national territory.

A bold and contemporary model

The Lancia Ypsilon is the model that marks the brand’s return to the European market. It is a segment B car, a compact that aims to be one of the best options for getting around the city. One of the available versions is the electric one, which offers an electric motor delivering 156 CV and a range of 403 kilometres under the WLTP cycle.

Another of the prepared variants is the Hybrid range, which offers an output of 100 CV. Beyond these powertrains, it offers a very pleasant Italian design that sets it apart from similar models. The front headlights feature an efficient light signature with a very attractive design.

Inside, the aim has been to make it functional without losing that Italian design touch. The instrument cluster is integrated into a 10.25-inch screen, the same size as the infotainment system screen. The ADAS included in the model’s technology equipment enable Level 2 autonomous driving, that is, they offer driving safety thanks to several alerts and driver-assistance systems.

Among the variants launching on 8 July, the one made in collaboration with Cassina, a furniture design firm, stands out. In this edition, the focus has been mainly on comfort, so that the cabin becomes an extension of the living room at home. All these versions are already on the market and can be booked at any of the brand’s sales points, which are already selling them.
