Geely High Value: the Chinese group's strategy to bring electric cars within reach of everyone
Geely wants not only to bring electrified models closer to drivers, but to do so intelligently and with higher-end equipment.

Electric cars continue to grow in international markets, more slowly than expected, but steadily. Brands are being very cautious with new launches, but are preparing with greater care so that they are truly efficient. Geely is working to create solutions that allow drivers to get closer to and better access electric vehicles, and has named them High Value.
This strategy aims to ensure that the most modern, efficient and considered elements so far reserved for high-end vehicles reach the entry-level models. In this way, the dedicated electric vehicle platforms, high-capacity batteries, intelligent propulsion systems and advanced electronic architectures are available in more affordable models.

This is possible because Geely develops its systems in-house, so it can avoid involving third-party companies, which could raise the cost of producing these components and prevent their popularisation among drivers. In Spain, two Geely models that already follow this strategy are on sale.

GEELY HIGH VALUE
Two models designed for the general public
Both the Geely E5 and the Starray EM-i are built on the GEA platform (Global Intelligent Electric Architecture). This architecture integrates elements such as hardware, the software needed to use it, and the artificial intelligence that makes it easier to use from the outset.
In this way, interior space is optimised and structural rigidity is increased, while also making the most of energy efficiency and increasing safety at the wheel. It also features Cell to Body technology, which integrates the battery into the structure, improving weight, rigidity and protection against impacts.
Both models have achieved the five stars awarded by Euro NCAP, guaranteeing greater safety for occupants and pedestrians alike, something usually associated with higher-end vehicles.

Electrification as a sign of value
The Geely E5 is a battery electric model with a range of up to 475 kilometres, sufficient for daily journeys and capable of fast charging. It can charge from 30 to 80% of its capacity in about twenty minutes. The Short Blade Battery was developed by Geely to offer high durability and has passed all safety tests.
Looking at the Starray EM-i, this model features the EM-i Super Hybrid propulsion system, which combines a 160 kW electric motor with a combustion engine. It achieves a range of 1,055 kilometres in combined mode, ensuring efficient use on long journeys.
The equipment also includes
The equipment of these two models also brings safety, connectivity and driver assistance systems to more basic trim levels, to enhance the driving experience. The driver has a good range of features designed to improve safety while driving.
These two models are Geely’s response to the need for electrified models, but also to bring electrification closer to drivers.
