General Motors expands its range of electric SUVs with the Cadillac Vistiq

The Cadillac Vistiq is a new luxury electric SUV from General Motors with three rows of seats and room for seven passengers, set to arrive in the North American market next year.

General Motors continues to bet on the electrification of its range, this time presenting a new luxury electric SUV, the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq. This new model sits one step above the Cadillac Lyriq and just below the imposing Escalade IQ, which is much more generous in size.

Production of the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq will begin in early 2025 at General Motors’ plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee, and if all goes according to plan it will reach dealerships over the course of next summer, with a starting price of $78,790.

As for its technical specifications, the Vistiq features a dual electric motor setup capable of delivering a combined 450 kW of power, reaching 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 4 seconds using Velocity Max mode. The 102 kWh battery pack it is equipped with, on the other hand, allows it to cover around 300 miles (483 km) on a single charge. Meanwhile, the time needed to add 79 miles (127 km) of range is just 10 minutes at a CCS1 ultra-rapid charging point.

When using an AC wallbox, the Vistiq can recover up to 20.5 miles (33 km) per hour at a power of 7.7 kW, and up to 28.5 miles (46 km) if the charging power is increased to 11.5 kW. If the wallbox used allows it, this new luxury electric SUV from General Motors can handle a maximum AC charging power of 19.2 kW, in which case it is possible to add 46.7 miles (75 km) of range for every hour it remains connected. With the optional package offered by the manufacturer, the Vistiq also supports bidirectional charging V2H.

In terms of dimensions, the images already show that this is a fairly large vehicle. According to the manufacturer, the 2026 Vistiq measures 521.97 cm (205.5 in) in length, 220.19 cm (86.7 in) in width (without mirrors) and 180.34 cm (71 in) in height, with a wheelbase of 309.37 cm (121.8 in). These generous dimensions of General Motors’ new electric SUV have allowed the manufacturer to fit three rows of seats, accommodating up to seven passengers. It is, therefore, a vehicle ideal for large families looking for ample space, comfort, advanced technology and the luxury expected of a brand like Cadillac.

Finally, regarding standard equipment, the 2026 Vistiq comes with an AKG Studio audio system with 23 speakers and Dolby Atmos, GM’s advanced Super Cruise driver-assistance system, and 21-inch wheels. The interior stands out for its huge 33-inch LED screen, with luxury finishes that vary depending on the trim level. Third-row comfort has not been overlooked either, with padded backrests and USB chargers.

Optionally, the 2026 Vistiq can also include the Night Vision function to improve night-time visibility, pneumatic adaptive suspension, rear-wheel steering and 23-inch wheels.
