Geneva Show 2012: Lamborghini

Lamborghini unveils at Geneva the new Aventador Roadster, or Unica Concept, a spectacular concept that keeps catching the eye of every visitor who approaches the brand’s stand.

The bull brand never fails to be spectacular at any show where it appears. As we eagerly made our way to the area where Lamborghini is located, the big question was undoubtedly its main novelty, the so-called Unica Concept or Aventador J, the convertible version of the Aventador.

The new model is truly impressive to see in person, and we all had the impression of looking at a new Batmobile. Similarities aside, the new Aventador has a body that has been lowered and widened by a few millimetres compared to the “standard” Aventador, but it is based on the same carbon-fibre chassis mounted on sumptuous 21-inch wheels, keeping the 6.5-litre V12 engine with 700 CV.

Just as we had seen from the leaked photos, the bonnet continues inward into the cockpit, splitting it in two, and continuing towards the rear, behind the seats, where it opens to make room for the marvellous V12 engine. The central rear-view mirror looks a little cumbersome, but bear in mind that we are looking at the concept of a car built purely for indulgence. Below, you will find many photos we took of the new Lamborghini, so there is nothing left to do but follow the jump.
