Get yourself a 599XX for just "a mere" one million euros

If you are one of those people whom the crisis has not affected in the slightest and you can even afford to spend a million euros on a vehicle, but cars like the Bugatti Veyron and company don’t quite convince you, perhaps this brand-new Ferrari 599XX will.

As you surely know, this vehicle stands out precisely for being one of the only 30 599XX units that Ferrari built at the time, a vehicle that unfortunately can only run on circuits because it is not approved for use on public roads. That should not matter, since to get the 700 horsepower out of its 6.0-litre V12 you will need it, and you may not even want to get out of it.

This is all very good and, to my mind, these are weighty reasons, or at the time they were, for 30 millionaires to practically ask Ferrari to sell them a unit. But truly, if you had a million euros, would you spend it on this beast covered in carbon wherever you look?

Honestly, I wouldn’t, and among my reasons is precisely a rival capable of standing up to this beast, precisely because it is a 599XX approved for use on public roads: a vehicle that, as you well know, was also sold in a small limited edition under the name 599 GTO and whose price is nowhere near one million euros.
