This variant offers a wide range of optional extras to personalise a car that is already very attractive and has a very powerful look.

Many cars have become legendary, and work has been done to make them even more attractive. Giannini Automobili is a classic tuning brand in Italy, a firm that guarantees quality cars with very attractive preparations. And this is where a model enters the picture that is also quite well known in Italy and is about to be discontinued: the Abarth 595/695, the sporty version of the FIAT 500.

Giannini was founded in 1917 and is currently part of Impero, which has joined forces with Groupo Maestri. The former contributes the name and experience of the brand, and the latter the design team and the production plant for this model, which will be called Giannini Spettacolo. Aesthetically, it aims to be an Abarth 595/695 but with elements that make it stand out strongly from any other version of the model.

What stands out most are the body panels that have been added, which give it a more aggressive look. At the front, a new grille has been fitted, along with larger new air intakes and a redesigned diffuser. On the bonnet, two engine ventilation outlets have been fitted, taken from Formula 1 models. There are also headlight covers integrated into the bodywork, which add an extra touch to its appearance.

The two wings are wider and the side skirts are larger. The wheels are covered with 18-inch carbon-fibre wheel covers, which make them lighter and visually more attractive. At the rear, a fairly large spoiler has been fitted, which helps maintain aerodynamics at a very appealing level for the driver.

The rear bumper has also been redesigned, and two exhaust outlets can be seen, mounted on the diffuser. But the exterior can be configured and tailored to the buyer’s taste, so personalisation is one of the selling points of this model.

In addition to choosing from a range of colours, there are vinyl graphics to apply to the bodywork, giving each car sold a different look. Inside, the rear bench seat is replaced by two individual seats, made of lightweight carbon.

Engine of the Giannini Spettacolo

Under the bonnet we find a turbocharged 1.4-litre four-cylinder T-Jet engine that has been tuned to produce 247 CV and 360 Nm of torque. These figures surpass any other version of the Abarth 595/695 built to date, making it a very desirable car.

The automated manual gearbox transmits all the power to the four wheels, although a manual option is available for the best experience at all times. The model’s weight stays at 985 kg, so the power-to-weight ratio is very appealing. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration takes five seconds and its top speed is 280 km/h.

Now, this variant has become a very attractive car, but also a very expensive one. The price of this car is 133,000 euros. Only 200 units will be built, and each car will take about five months to deliver, as it is an almost artisanal build tailored to the buyer’s taste.
