GLP is still an option, and even more so now with the Mitsubishi Colt 100T GLP from 17,200 euros

The Mitsubishi Colt adds a GLP (LPG) variant to its range, with a total range of more than 1,000 km and a price from 17,200 euros, including all discounts.

It was the only mechanical variant missing from the Mitsubishi Colt, the model from the Japanese brand that is technically identical to the Renault Clio. But since September, the Japanese city car can also be purchased in the interesting 100T GLP version.

The base is the Colt 100T, with the 1.0 Turbo three-cylinder engine, which in its adaptation to run on LPG goes from 90 CV to 100 CV, and increases maximum torque from 160 Nm to 170 Nm, thus maintaining the same performance: 0 to 100 km/h in 12.2 seconds, with a top speed of 174 km/h.

As in the Clio, boot capacity remains at 390 litres, as does the petrol tank of 42 litres, since the LPG tank is placed under the boot floor, where the spare wheel would go.

Up to 1,000 km without refuelling and DGT ECO label

Between the two tanks, petrol and LPG, the Colt can travel more than 1,000 km without stopping to refuel, according to the manufacturer’s homologated consumption figures.

In any case, the biggest advantage of the Colt GLP comes from its cost per kilometre, which can be estimated at around 35% lower than the equivalent petrol version, due to the lower price of LPG. Not to mention the DGT ECO label, increasingly important in large cities.

Available with the Motion trim, the price premium of the GLP version is 800 euros over the petrol variant, which is priced at 18,000 euros, including a 1,000-euro commercial discount. This means you can get the Colt 100T GLP for 18,800 euros paying cash… or from 17,200 euros, which is the price announced by Mitsubishi, also including the financing campaign.

Mitsubishi Colt (11)

The Renault Clio TCe 100 GLP is available – without including a financing discount – from 17,200 euros in the Evolution trim, and from around 20,000 euros in the Techno version, so the Mitsubishi Colt sits right between the two Clio versions, standing out for its good standard equipment.
