Gumball 3000, the rich people's rally, comes to an end in Bucharest
Every year, roads across half the world are thrown into turmoil by one of the strangest and most extravagant rallies held anywhere on the planet. The Gumball 3000 is a non-competitive race in which spectacular cars driven by people from the worlds of business, entertainment, television and film take part. Millionaires who want to enjoy the thrill from behind the wheel of their cars.
Many of them are tuned to the owner’s taste, and we can also see many cars that have been transformed to achieve a very recognisable look, based on famous cars from film and TV, and there are even vehicles built to surprise, such as an almost, almost authentic Batmobile. The race is accompanied by big celebrations in the cities where it stops.
Actors, singers, journalists and millionaires are part of this race
Actors such as David Hasselhoff, Dolph Lundgren and other famous names appear on the list of participants in the event. Normally, the Gumball 3000 requires crossing the ocean and travelling from the United States to old Europe, making stops and enjoying concerts, parties and other things that accompany the participants.

This year the start took place in Dublin and they have arrived in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. The arrival took place on 6 May and ended with a big party in which music, cars and the excesses of these drivers were the daily norm of the race.
But one should not be too exaggerated either, since these supercars and extravagant cars usually stick (more or less) to the legislation of each country they pass through. This means that, despite their spectacular nature, they are very respectful and no serious infractions occur. Although, of course, some can’t resist pressing the accelerator and end up with a nice fine in their pocket.
The videoblogger Shmee also took part in this year’s Gumball 3000 and, aboard his ABT Audi RS6, capable of delivering 735 CV, filmed this final 10-hour stretch with his camera, which we can see in the following video. In it you can see part of the route through Romanian roads and the arrival at the finish line. Party, cars and much more are present in this non-competitive event, which is repeated year after year and which has occasionally passed through Spain.
