Concepts Salón de Shanghai SUV
Haval, the subsidiary of Great Wall Motors, is also present at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show
It is not well known in Spain, but Great Wall Motors is China’s largest privately owned car manufacturer, and one of the offerings that keeps it present in many markets is the SUV models it builds. The company’s subsidiary devoted to this type of model is called Haval, and it has also unveiled its new releases at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show.
Among the novelties Haval presented, two new concepts could be seen, which bear the brand’s design signature and foreshadow future developments in its models. The first is the Concept R, a powerful car with an aggressive and bold look, featuring a large grille flanked by headlights that resemble angry eyes. In addition, red accompanies this aggressive image of the model.
The Concept B, on the other hand, is not as aggressive, though it does not abandon this bold and dynamic line. It is presented in a more elegant, darker and functional colour. In fact, the brand uses colour to signal the intentions of each model. Red conveys a more dynamic and sporty attitude, while blue represents a more family-oriented, everyday vehicle.

These two models are set to become the brand’s next flagships, but on the brand’s stand other models already on the market, which have already won the approval of the brand’s users, could also be seen. Among them is the Haval H6 Coupé, which despite its name does not have a very sporty appearance, and the §h25h26§ and H7 L, the same model with an increased capacity of up to seven seats.
The other model on display at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show is the §h29h30§, a model that shares some points in common with the Volkswagen Touareg, as can be seen in the photos. Nevertheless, these resemblances are only meant to attract attention, and these models have their own personality, which we may one day get to know in Spain.
