Head of testing at Toyota dies while testing the Lexus LFA

A few days ago, the head of testing at Toyota, Hiromu Naruse, died in a violent accident while fine-tuning the new LFA Nürburgring Edition. It was on a road near that famous German circuit that he collided head-on with a BMW that was also undergoing testing.
According to the initial investigations, Hiromu Naruse lost control of this exclusive supercar on a left-hand bend with poor visibility, crossing into the opposite lane, and the Lexus was completely destroyed, while the two occupants of the other vehicle involved only suffered minor injuries.
Hiromu Naruse, in addition to serving as personal driver to the company’s president, Akio Toyoda, was taking part in the development of the Lexus LFA Nürburgring a limited version that gave this sports model greater exclusivity, since only 50 units will reach the market, along with about 10 extra CV, bringing output up to 570 CV with a top speed of 325 km/h.
