HiPhi, the Chinese brand arriving in Europe with an electric model
The HiPhi brand has launched two premium electric models, but it wants to reach Europe with a new electric car, which will possibly be called HiPhi Y.

Some time ago we had the chance to see a Chinese electric car that was presented as one of the most striking on the Chinese market. That car was launched and has achieved a good number of sales in China, so expectations for the HiPhi brand have grown considerably and it is preparing to arrive in Europe within a few years.
The brand has only four years of existence, but it has already become a benchmark for buyers in the Asian country looking for a premium car. In fact, the HiPhi X, the brand’s SUV, has become the best-selling premium vehicle in China. And with only one year on the market, so it is a fairly remarkable vehicle.

Even so, neither the HiPhi X nor the HiPhi Z Grand Tourer are the ones chosen to reach the European market. At least, in principle. To reach our market, the brand has presented a new model, which will presumably be called the HiPhi Y. It will be ready throughout 2023, so its arrival may be planned for this same year.
Unlike the brand’s other models, it is expected to be a car aimed at young buyers, so its price will be fairly modest in comparison. The technological equipment and connectivity will be very important to attract these buyers.
Don’t expect a cheap car, but it will be an entry-level car into the upper range. According to the statement from HiPhi’s technology director, Mark Stanton, it will not forgo the use of quality materials and premium features, like its bigger siblings. Yes, but in a smaller car with less performance.
It will not have some features that are present in the more established models, but others will be missed, since they are quite dispensable and add nothing. In short, front headlights that project images onto the asphalt in front of the car are not very interesting…
Even so, we will not have much more information about the model until it arrives, at the end of 2023. So we have to wait for the arrival of the model on the European market to be confirmed in order to know what the brand will offer in particular.
