Honda CR-V 2019: these are the prices of the Japanese SUV
The new Honda CR-V hits the market next month. The compact SUV gets improvements across all its lines.
The Honda CR-V is one of the best-selling SUVs in the world. In the 20 years it has been on the Spanish market (since 1997), it has already accumulated more than 60,000 units sold. The fifth generation of the Honda CR-V was presented to the public at the recent Geneva Motor Show (March). The Japanese SUV will arrive in the Spanish market in October next year with several improvements over its predecessor: optimized ride comfort, a smarter all-wheel drive system, greater cabin insulation and a wide range of standard technology, highlighted by the Honda SensingTM driver-assistance package. During its initial sales phase, the new CR-V will be equipped with a 1.5 VTEC Turbo petrol engine, and its prices are already known.

1.5 VTEC Turbo petrol engine: performance and efficiency
The new 1.5-liter VTEC TURBO petrol engine in the Honda CR-V offers an excellent balance of performance and efficiency. This powertrain produces 173 CV with the six-speed manual gearbox and 193 CV with the CVT automatic gearbox. Peak torque is 220 Nm and 243 Nm, respectively.

On the other hand, the new CR-V’s fuel consumption stands at 6.3 l/100 km (front-wheel-drive versions) and 7.1 l/100 km (4×4 CVT versions). These are really positive figures for an SUV of this kind, although it should be noted that they were measured under the former NEDC homologation cycle (less realistic than the current WLTP).

The new CR-V equipped with the 1.5 VTEC TURBO petrol engine will be available on the Spanish market during October, while the versions with the 2.0 i-MMD hybrid engine will arrive during the first quarter of 2019.
