Honda HR-V 2022: the new hybrid SUV reveals prices and full range in our country

The new generation of Honda’s compact SUV will only be available with a 131 CV hybrid powertrain, three trim levels and a comprehensive technology package

Honda HR-V

Honda has just officially unveiled all prices, the full range and standard equipment of its new compact SUV. A much-anticipated car, thanks to its winning formula of being offered exclusively with a hybrid powertrain, its outstanding comfort and roominess, state-of-the-art technology and a sleek look that really suits the third generation of the Japanese SUV.

With a length of around 4.4 metres, the new Honda HR-V has undergone a thorough design overhaul, with a sleek, clean and modern look that avoids excessive creases and shapes, a styling approach we are gradually becoming accustomed to seeing on many newly launched vehicles.

Clean lines

The new SUV features a very elegant and muscular vertical front end, thanks to its large horizontal-slat grille, sharply shaped light units and a fairly flat bonnet that forms part of the shoulder line running along the entire side of the car, giving it a somewhat coupé-like profile.

The rear is dominated by its new LED rear light clusters, which stretch across the full width of the tailgate. In addition, its fairly raked rear window and small spoiler, continuing the roofline, give it a dynamic and attractive look.

The third generation also features a spacious, comfortable, simple and intuitive cabin in which everything is where it should be, without an excess of buttons, with a fully digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch infotainment system.

Trim levels and prices

In Honda’s line-up we find three trim levels for the new Honda HR-V: Elegance, Advance and Advance Plus, whose standard equipment and prices we will break down below.

The entry-level Elegance trim comes as standard with LED lighting, heated front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 9-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and the Honda Sensing safety system. Prices for this version start from 30,500 euros.

The Advance trim adds to everything mentioned for Elegance a tailgate with “Walk Away Close” function for opening the boot hands-free, a heated multifunction steering wheel and a leather/fabric combination upholstery. This version starts from 31,750 euros.

Finally, the top-of-the-range trim is the Advance Style, which adds to the above a premium sound system, wireless charger, two-tone bodywork and distinctive elements giving it a slightly sportier touch. If we choose this version, the price starts from 36,140 euros.

A single engine option

As for the mechanical side, this Honda HR-V features the e:HEV hybrid technology system, which gives it its name. This propulsion system consists of a 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine and two electric motors, one generating energy and the other propelling the vehicle, delivering a total of 131 CV and a maximum torque of 253 Nm.
