Hot Wheels X Super73-RX, this is the most radical new e-bike, limited to just 24 units
The legendary Hot Wheels has teamed up with electric bicycle manufacturer Super73 to create this very special little toy for those who aren’t so young anymore

Almost all motoring enthusiasts have surely had, or still keep, the iconic Hot Wheels scale cars. Small toys we could play with, dream with, or even collect in a display case or hang on the wall.
Now, the famous miniature brand has joined forces with Super73, a company based in Southern California specialising in manufacturing e-bikes, a market currently booming, and which in the case of this Hot Wheels X Super73-RX is much more than just an electric bicycle.

A thoroughly cool look
We’ll quickly realise that this e-bike has great capabilities thanks to its large fork and rear shock absorber, and its generous tyres, sized more like those of a motorcycle than a bicycle, wearing attractive bronze-coloured spoked rims and even a casing that looks like a motorbike fuel tank.
At the front, we find a powerful LED light tinted yellow and a very Trail-style mudguard. The generously sized padded seat and the slightly raised handlebars give great comfort when riding this e-bike. The handlebar is fitted with a custom pad bearing the Hot Wheels logo and ATV Lock-on grips manufactured by ODI.

At the rear there is also a small LED tail light hidden under the seat and embraced by the rear mudguard, clearly necessary to avoid getting muddy if we want to have fun on a track or head out to the countryside to enjoy this appealing toy.
The colour of this e-bike is black, although it carries cheerful orange and blue decorations, reminding us that we are looking at a collaboration between the specialist electric bicycle manufacturer and the famous scale car maker.

In terms of performance, the battery of this Hot Wheels X Super73-RX, rated at 960 watt-hours, allows it to cover up to 64 kilometres on a single charge and reach up to 32 km/h on electric power alone, a speed that will obviously increase if we pedal, since this motor is designed as assistance, not as the sole propulsion.
As the jewel and major novelty of the package, the bicycle is compatible with Android and iOS through the Super73 app, where we can check our routes, average speeds, the e-bike’s range, and so on.
A not very economical whim
As you might imagine, being limited to just 24 units, the price is not for everyone’s pocket, since it costs 5,000 dollars (4,254 euros at current exchange rates) and sadly all units have already sold out, in addition to the 24 examples being destined exclusively for the American market.
