Hummer EV announces the definitive date for the first customer deliveries
The Hummer EV is about to enter production shortly after receiving the components needed for its assembly, and deliveries to buyers will take place in December

It wasn’t long ago that the launch of the Hummer EV, the electric version of this well-known and popular off-roader, was announced. The first deliveries should have taken place already in October. However, the shortage of components has meant that the company has not been able to put the model into production, and that date has been delayed by several months.
Now that the company has received the components it was missing to start manufacturing those first units, production of the car will begin in a few days. This is no small matter, since 125,000 units have been registered since this model was announced. 80% of these orders are for the Edition 1, which is the first to go on sale and has a starting price of $110,295.

Other buyers have chosen other variants, which will have a smaller battery and more modest features. But the first to have the vehicle in their garage will be those who opted for the Hummer EV Edition 1. With the announcement of the start of production, the total range offered by the large-capacity battery installed in this version has also been announced.
Although a range of up to 560 kilometers was initially announced, the Hummer EV Edition 1 will offer 530 kilometers, slightly less than expected. Even so, it is an interesting figure. It must be taken into account that it is a large and heavy vehicle, so the battery will have to deliver a lot of energy to move its mass.
This estimate comes from the company, since the US authorities have not yet certified that range. The company’s tests are also being applied to other versions of the model and will be made public shortly.
The delivery date, originally planned for October, has been pushed back to December, when the first buyers will finally be able to enjoy their electric off-roaders, which promise a different and very appealing experience.
