Clase X Mercedes Range / versions Pick-up
The Mercedes Class X modified by Chelsea Truck is called The Dark Destroyer. Find out why!
The British customiser has worked on a Mercedes-Benz Class X and turned it into a visually imposing vehicle using the colour black.

The pick-up Mercedes-Benz Class X has been discontinued because it did not achieve the expected sales. But there are still those who look at this model and work on it to offer a more striking version for anyone who wants to enjoy it. For example, Chelsea Truck has modified one of these models and offers a transformation well worth seeing.
The name given to this intense version matches it perfectly. It is The Dark Destroyer, and its bodywork is entirely black, so the name is more than fitting. The vehicle has a price of £49,999, equivalent to about €59,500.

A very aggressive look
The pick-up from Mercedes-Benz has been fitted with the Project Kahn styling package, which features wider wheel arches, door protection, a ventilated bonnet and bumpers also painted black. The colour is repeated across the rest of the exterior elements of the car, such as the 22-inch RS-XF alloy wheels.

THE DARK DESTROYER
Another standout element of the pick-up is the tinted windows, which can also be fitted to be bulletproof. The rear bed can be fitted with a hard cover, so this part of the truck is better protected. At the front, the halogen headlights are retained, which stands out because LED technology was expected in this area.
Inside, the dark theme of the conversion continues. The upholstery is black with decorative details and red contrast stitching to create a striking contrast. The standard equipment is kept, so the driver enjoys features such as a navigation system, reversing camera, Bluetooth connectivity, an 8-speaker sound system, and automatic lights and wipers.
The original engine is also retained, a 2.3-litre turbodiesel unit producing 193 CV, although this is not the top of the range available for this model. It is not a new car, as it was built in 2019 and has covered 21,726 kilometres. But it is a good example of everything that can be done with this model, whether bought directly from the customiser or by taking your own pick-up to their workshops.
