Hurtan, a handcrafted Spanish brand celebrating 25 years with two new models
The company Hurtan is based in Granada and, from the Andalusian city, designs and builds handcrafted cars based on designs from the 1950s and 1960s

It is a brand that is not very well known, but since 1992 Hurtan has been designing and building custom models for very exclusive clients. It is not a brand that appears often, although it enjoys a well-deserved reputation worldwide and has become one of the most prestigious names in the handcrafted car market. Its origins date back to the 1980s, when Juan Hurtado set out to create the car he wanted to drive but could not find at any dealership at the time.
In 1992, having already built several showcase cars and vehicles for very special clients, he decided to set up the factory from which two new models now emerge and which form part of the exclusive catalogue of the Casa Hurtan. From Granada, they have created and sold some of the handcrafted models now found in the garages of high-net-worth individuals who are looking for something more than a production supercar or a super-luxury saloon.

To mark its first 25 years of history, Hurtan has refreshed its brand image, with a new website and the presentation of two new models aimed at very exclusive and demanding buyers. As with the vehicles the brand has designed so far, they draw on designs seen in the 1950s and 1960s, and have an elegant style intended to stand out.
The Author is the first of these new models and offers an exclusive four-seater car which, despite its classic design, features the most advanced technology and a Mercedes 2.4-litre engine producing 143 CV. Its features include equipment appropriate to the level of finish one would expect. It is a good choice for private enjoyment or an excellent investment for an events company that needs a highly attractive and impressive car.
The Route44 is a commercial vehicle designed to be used as a food truck, since its design has been conceived for this kind of use, although with slight changes it could also serve as a mobile office or a vehicle for displaying any other type of product. It comes with mechanicals Fiat and can be personalised, as can all the models from this very special brand.
Although it is not widely known, it is easy to have seen one of its models, since they are often rented for weddings and special events. You have probably crossed paths with one, stopped to look at it, and most likely could not identify the brand. What do you think of Hurtan’s new customisable models?
