The Hyundai Inster range is strengthened with the Lounge version, which aims to offer more comfort and ease on the move, with higher-quality materials.

We already have the Inster and the Inster Cross on the market, but Hyundai wants to offer one more variant to complete the range and let customers choose a version with better equipment and more comfort. The Inster Lounge arrives to deliver greater comfort in a vehicle that sits in the A-segment, the smallest in any carmaker’s line-up.

On the outside, practically nothing changes, although the interior has been reworked to make it far more pleasant for the occupants. The materials are of higher quality and more comfort is offered so the interior space can be enjoyed. While the Inster Cross is aimed at a less urban use and is more focused on the outdoors, the Lounge is closer to comfort and getting around the city.

The upholstery of the seats is fabric and leather, creating a more comfortable texture with more style. The roof has been improved with a more elegant design, and there are colourful details at certain points in the cabin, reinforcing a change in visual style. The improved materials come with a much more satisfying tactile feel.

The seats have been redesigned to make them more practical. The front ones fold down completely, while the rear ones recline and slide. A dedicated luggage platform makes it possible to create a space that adapts to the specific needs of the occupants.

A refreshed exterior

Although the changes to the exterior are not very large, some of its elements have been redesigned. The front grille and bumper have changed, making it look more current and modern. The wheels have also been replaced, now featuring a new 17-inch design. A new exterior colour has been added for this version: Glow Mint.

More technological equipment

The on-board equipment has been enhanced with a 10.25-inch screen and a newly designed digital instrument cluster. In addition, driver assistance systems and extras that improve this aspect have been incorporated. The options catalogue includes a wireless charger, optional storage spaces and other elements that enhance the vehicle and the driving experience.

Engine and battery

The new Hyundai Inster Lounge can be equipped with a 42 kWh battery paired with a 71 kW motor, equivalent to 97 CV. It can also be fitted with a 49 kWh battery together with an 85 kW motor, that is, 115 CV. With the higher-capacity configuration it can offer a range of 360 kilometres, which makes it very practical for everyday city use. It can also be charged with a fast-charging system, with which it can go from 20 to 80% of battery capacity in 30 minutes.

The Inster Lounge will enter production during the month of June and will reach each market according to each country’s launch plans. The price will also vary, so there is no information about it yet.
