Hyundai Sonata and Hyundai ix25, the new models for the Shanghai Auto Show

The Shanghai Auto Show is underway and there is a lot to see at this event in China, which has become one of the most important in the world. It is where many Asian manufacturers strive to showcase cars that will soon compete in the largest market in the world. Hyundai, through its subsidiary Beijing Hyundai Motor Company (BHMC), is present at the Shanghai Auto Show and has taken the opportunity to present two of its new models, the Hyundai Sonate and the Hyundai ix25.

Two important models for the Korean brand, because they are not only cars designed to feature the most advanced technology the company is working on, but they also introduce the new design language of Hyundai, named Sensuous Sportiness. The elegance of the fluid lines is part of this new design language of Hyundai and is reflected in these new models.

The Hyundai Sonata, the sporty saloon

The Hyundai Sonata is the company’s flagship, so we will find in it all the technology and equipment of the latest generation offered by Hyundai. It is a saloon with a sporty spirit, so power and elegance go hand in hand to offer all the comfort one can find in a saloon with the bite expected of a more dynamic model. We will look at it in more detail soon and although we know little about it so far, it has impressed us.

Hyundai ix25, the Chinese SUV

The Hyundai ix25 is designed for the Chinese driver and that is why it is a special model. The Asian market has been studied and, from all the things that were researched, a robust design has been obtained, with new LED lights at the front that follow the new design language that also dresses the Sonata. The design is, logically, different and distinct, since the image of a saloon has little to do with the strength of an SUV. An interesting proposal that also reinforces the position of Hyundai in China.

More Hyundai proposals in Shanghai

These are the two cars that drive Hyundai’s offering at the Shanghai Auto Show, but there are more novelties on its stand. For example, the Hyundai Elantra PHEV, a clear commitment to offering a cleaner version of one of its best-known models, or the Encino EV, which we know as the Hyundai Kona Electric, and a series of technologies applied to improve the driving experience. There is no shortage of personal electric mobility proposals for the city, such as an electric bicycle, which fall within the “New Era“, a stage that Hyundai has just inaugurated.

Hyundai wants to promote clean mobility and other ways of getting around that are environmentally friendly and at the same time fun and exciting for drivers. For now, we have these two new versions of its models to experience all of that. At least the Chinese will, and then we will try the others.
