Hyundai unveils its future full-size MPV, the Staria
Hyundai reveals the first official images of the Staria, a new MPV with a futuristic and minimalist design that will feature a high-quality interior

Just a few days ago Hyundai gave us a glimpse from the shadows of what will be the flagship of its new MPV line, the Staria, a vehicle that, as we have already seen, will be characterized by a futuristic exterior that wraps around a premium interior able to seat up to 9 people. Now the brand reveals the first official images of the Staria in full view. No more shadows.
For the design of the Staria, Hyundai has taken into account the concept of “from the inside out”, a new design method on which the mobility of the future will be based, and in which the design process begins with the interior, since, given the latest and numerous technologies found inside practically any vehicle, users prioritize how the interior is used. This interior-first design concept then continues and carries over to the exterior.

So, following this concept proposed by Hyundai for the Staria, we will start with the interior, which will be offered in a basic trim or in the Premium trim, the top-of-the-range version with a 7- and 9-seat configuration. Its interior draws inspiration from the lounges of a cruise ship, with large panoramic windows thanks to a lower beltline, creating an environment that gives a greater sense of space to all its occupants.
The driver’s position is focused on the driver and, overall, minimalist, as the dashboard will be dominated by a 10.25-inch display for the driver, while on the central console there is a large screen to control the rest of the systems and, next to it, the buttons for the Shift by Wire gear-selection system. At the top of the console, the lower part of the instrument panel and also at the top and bottom of the dashboard, you will find various storage spaces, along with cup holders, USB ports and additional storage spaces for all occupants.

In the 7-seat version, occupants in the second row can activate the seats’ relax function via a button, which, in addition to activating the relaxation function, also reclines the seats automatically, while in the 9-seat version the second-row seats can swivel 180º to face those in the third row. It also features 64-colour ambient lighting, providing occupants with the pleasant atmosphere they want for every moment.
Moving now to the exterior of the Hyundai Staria, we will see that the minimalist lines continue and blend with a futuristic character, as can be seen starting from the front, where the daytime running lights combined with the position lights extend across the full width just above the grille, which will include another set of LED headlights. On the sides, as you can see, the beltline also sits low as in the interior, leaving the panoramic windows exposed, providing a wider opening, inspired by the traditional Korean architectural style called hanok.

At the rear, the design remains simple and clean, with large vertical rear lights presiding over the large rear window that accompanies the tailgate, which reaches a very low position due to the location of the bumper, all with the aim of making it easier to load and unload luggage. Furthermore, overall, in the Premium version you will find aesthetic details that add touches of refinement and quality not found on the entry-level version.
The new Hyundai Staria will be officially presented at a digital event during the first half of this year, where the brand will offer more specific details about this new MPV.
