It features the electromechanical anti-roll system or “eAWS”, which reduces body roll in corners, allowing a faster cornering pace while also reducing the tendency to understeer. For the SQ7 an optional dynamic package is also offered, comprising three technology modules: the sport rear differential, four-wheel steering (rear-axle steering) and the new electromechanical body anti-roll system or “eAWS”.

The engine under the bonnet of the new Audi SQ7 is none other than the 4.0 TDI V8 producing 435 CV. This powerplant has been redesigned from scratch, combining strong performance with low fuel consumption. It features an electrically driven compressor (EPC) that complements the operation of the engine’s two turbochargers, especially at low revs, ensuring an agile and dynamic response and avoiding turbo lag.

The EPC, which delivers a maximum output of 7 kW, is powered through a 48-volt electrical subsystem. It uses an additional 48-volt lithium-ion battery with a nominal energy of 470 Wh. It is located under the boot floor and is used for the electrical subsystem. Its output is 13 kW, and a DC/DC converter connects the 12-volt and 48-volt electrical subsystems.

Those who wish can already order the new Audi SQ7, although the first units will not reach the market until the end of summer 2016. The price of the Audi SQ7 for the Spanish market is 110,970 euros.
