From 1 May, the Porsche Approved warranty has extended its coverage to all cars of the brand that are less than 15 years old and have a maximum of 200,000 kilometres. With this decision, the German sports car manufacturer demonstrates its confidence in the reliability of its products. The conditions offered by the Porsche Approved warranty are very similar to those the brand offers on its new models.

The vehicle must pass the 111-point key inspection, and its maintenance history must meet the brand’s standards in order to access the Porsche Approved warranty at an Official Centre. Once this seal has been obtained, it is possible to apply for a warranty of between 12 and 24 months for Porsche models that are less than 15 years old (until now it was 9 years) during the validity period of the warranty, and that have not exceeded 200,000 kilometres at the time of purchase.

“There is no old Porsche, only new owners,” says the slogan for its used models. Even if the car changes owners, the warranty coverage is valid internationally with no mileage limit and will be in force for the contracted period. The price of this additional warranty varies depending on the duration and model, ranging between 900 and 2,900 euros.

It is essential to bear in mind that the Porsche Approved warranty implies an increase in the vehicle’s value, and even if it changes owners, the new owner will have the assurance of taking home a vehicle that has been inspected by the brand’s specialists. As Porsche states with the slogan for its second-hand models, “there is no old Porsche, only new owners.”

Porsche is the only firm on the market that offers a complete warranty of these characteristics. According to the brand’s data, this confidence in its product is due to the fact that more than 80% of the sports cars built by the German manufacturer since its beginnings in 1948 are still on the road around the world.
