Images of the Mantide, the new sports car from Stile Bertone

Once again Jason Castriota shows that the world of four wheels is made for dreamers. Unfortunately, his latest personal creation, called “Mantide”, will not go into production.
The current head of Stile Bertone revealed that the car combines the style of classic American sports cars with the Italian roots of the design house, which did not mean giving up on the avant-garde vision intended for the model.
The sports car made its debut today at the Shanghai Motor Show and is characterised by a completely new body despite being based on the ZR1 platform.
The use of lightweight materials such as carbon fibre and magnesium helped the designers cut 113.4 kilos of weight (compared with the ZR1). In addition, its aerodynamic system, similar to the one used on F1 cars, allows the Mantide to deliver a rather impressive performance.
The final result is defined by the following figures: 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 322 km/h.
Update: A few hours ago we saw some images of this beautiful sports car, and now we are pleased to share a video showing much of the design and manufacturing work.
Our patience is also rewarded, as the Mantide is seen in almost all its glory. Another highlight is the musical backdrop, so enjoy it.
