Images of the new Rolls-Royce Phantom leaked before its debut
Almost a week before its official unveiling to the world, the eighth generation of the Rolls-Royce Phantom appears to have leaked thanks to a Chinese outlet

In just a few days, the seventh generation of the Rolls-Royce Phantom will officially bid farewell, exactly on July 27, at an event in which the English brand will review the history of the Phantom, and the eighth generation will be unveiled. Meanwhile, Rolls-Royce will revisit this history at a previous event called “The Eight Great Phantoms”, an exhibition held in the London district of Mayfair featuring the most influential Phantoms.
But despite all these events, Rolls-Royce has not forgotten to keep the mystery surrounding what will be the eighth generation of the Phantom, since in early June we were shown the first partial images of the new Phantom. But as keeping a secret is sometimes very difficult to maintain, just a few days before its official presentation, some images have leaked through a Chinese outlet that appear to be of the new Rolls-Royce Phantom.

The images, as you can see, seem to be taken from some information brochure or catalogue and, as is often the case, it is best to take them with a pinch of salt and not as entirely verified. Even so, a few similarities with the test units spotted on public roads can be seen, as always under extensive camouflage.
If this turns out to be the new Rolls-Royce Phantom, you will see that the changes are not overly profound, but a more contemporary look can logically be appreciated, especially in the design of the new front bumper and the new lighting group. Inside, the retro-inspired design of Rolls-Royce blends with the elegance and luxury expected of this car, using materials such as dark wood, leather and textured areas.

What we can officially tell you is that the new Rolls-Royce Phantom will use a new platform built entirely of aluminium, which will reduce the weight of the whole and make it more efficient. In this regard, it is very likely that the Phantom will incorporate, some time after its launch, a hybrid version that will be more environmentally friendly; although it will probably also be available with an evolved version of the 6.75-litre V12.
