Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge, a nocturnal beast in its promotional video

After its appearance at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year, the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge could be ready to go into production, as a promotional video has been revealed showing this version of the saloon driving along rural roads under the moonlight

We saw it as a concept car at the Detroit Motor Show, and since then we hadn’t heard anything more about it. It is a special version of an already remarkable car, but we didn’t expect to see more of it, at least not with these characteristics. We thought some of its specifications would go to the base model, but in the end it seems that the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge will go into production.

At least, that is what it appears to be if we consider the appearance of this promotional video of the model, which has been circulating these days and shows this version of the saloon as a beastly car, worthy of attention, that shuns the light to blend into the shadows of the rural roads.

Its look differs from the basic version because it is somewhat sportier and includes an identifying feature. It not only bears the name of one of the best-known sections of the Belgian Spa-Francorchamps circuit, but its bodywork is a very attractive and eye-catching red.

At the front it features a new grille with elements in carbon fibre and openings to aid ventilation. Its engine is capable of producing 560 CV of power and is based on the one used in the Nissan GT-R. Certainly, the sound in the video makes it quite interesting.

In the video we see how this Infiniti Q50 comes to life under the cover of night, delivering performance the base model doesn’t have and that it has to find while fleeing the light, becoming this beast as if it were a werewolf. The whole video keeps that aesthetic and reinforces the idea that this model is designed to roar on the road.

Now it remains to be seen whether this is really an advertisement aimed at building anticipation for the upcoming market arrival of this new Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge and whether we can see it soon at dealerships. I suppose we’ll have news on this in a few weeks. We’ll wait, shall we?
