Jaguar buys the largest collection of classic cars in the United Kingdom

The presence of Jaguar cars in classic vehicle collections is one of the constants in that exclusive automotive world reserved for a select few. It is therefore no surprise that the brand itself is keen to take an active part in this type of collection. And this week it has done so by buying the collection of millionaire and philanthropist James Hull.
This collection includes 103 units of various models of Jaguar from every era, impeccably preserved and looking as though they had just left the factory. Not only is it the largest private classic car collection in the United Kingdom, and not only because of the quantity and quality of the cars, but because of their condition.
The collection includes models from across the company’s entire history, including the first models produced under the Swallow Sidecars name, the original name of Jaguar. That name was changed after the Second World War, reportedly because the brand’s initials resembled the German SS. From that moment on, Jaguar was born, along with many of its legendary models.
Among the jewels of the collection are various Jaguar C-Type and D-Type cars, an XKSS, eight E-Types, 30 classic Mark saloons from Jaguar, 19 XJS models and more than 20 XJ saloons, acquired by James Hull over the years from previous owners in various parts of the world.
But the collection does not end with these hundred or so cars, since the total number of vehicles Hull owned is 543 classics. Although most of them are British, there are also vehicles from other parts of the world, but all of them share one thing in common: the luxury and style they exude from every angle.
With this acquisition, whose monetary value has not been made public, Jaguar Land Rover wants to preserve the legacy of its history and use the cars at various events related to presentations. In this way, whenever a new model is unveiled, the classics that have made Jaguar a benchmark in the world of luxury and style can also be admired.
