Jaguar C-X75, the James Bond prototype that never made it to production... now for sale!
One of the seven Jaguar C-X75 units used in the James Bond film Spectre, starring Daniel Craig, is being sold in London.

Cars and cinema, a combination that brings us many joys. And in this case, what it brings us is a concept model of Jaguar that never made it to production. The Jaguar C-X75 was unveiled as a concept car in 2010 and was one of the brand’s bets for 2012. They were so convinced this vehicle would be important to the brand’s lineup that it was one of the cars featured in the James Bond film Spectre.
This model was used in the film, but in the end it did not gain enough commercial backing to reach the assembly line, and only seven units were built, the ones used in the film’s shoot. A shame, because the car had an attractive, vibrant and elegant look. Even so, one of those unique cars that formed part of the James Bond legend has now been put up for sale.

A hybrid engine with 890 CV
The prototype featured a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine delivering 502 CV at 1,000 rpm. This combustion unit was paired with two electric motors adding 390 CV to the setup. In total, the supercar’s combined output was 890 CV.

JAGUAR C-X75 FOR SALE
But the car being sold in London does not have this hybrid powertrain. Since it was conceived as a car for the film, and in cinema nothing is as real as it appears to be, it was equipped to look more like what it is. This unit being sold in London has a V8 engine mounted in the mid-engine position.
As a curious detail, the chassis number of this car for sale is 007, adding an even more Bond-like touch. The supercar was sold by Jaguar Land Rover to its current owner, and maintenance has been handled by the Jaguar Land Rover Classic division, so it has been kept in perfect condition. A curious car, an almost unique prototype that also took part in one of the James Bond films starring Daniel Craig, even though it was driven by the film’s villain, played by Christoph Waltz.
