Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Touring: new aerodynamics for the fastest saloon in the world
Jaguar features aerodynamic modifications on the Touring version of the Jaguar XE SV Project, which boasts of being the fastest series-production saloon on the market.
It’s not just the brand saying so. That the Jaguar XE SV Project is the fastest production saloon in the world is backed up by the lap records it holds at temples of speed such as the Nürburgring, Laguna Seca and the Dubai Autodrome. Here you can see it in action on the Nürburgring circuit.

To do so, the Jaguar XE SV Project, a collector’s car in a limited edition of 300 units that is still available in some markets such as the United Kingdom, priced at 170,000 euros, features a supercharged V8 engine producing 600 CV and 700 Nm of torque.
It is a creation of Jaguar’s special vehicles division, SVO, which, among many other chassis modifications, includes the adoption of carbon-ceramic brakes.
An Jaguar XE prepared for the circuits
Now, Jaguar announces a new specification for the XE SV Project, called Touring. The main difference is that the large, adjustable carbon-fibre rear wing, attached to the boot lid by special brackets and capable of generating up to 122 kg of downforce, is replaced by a fixed spoiler that is much more discreet.

Likewise, the front splitter is also modified and becomes fixed instead of adjustable. And for the interior, an exclusive four-seat configuration is included.
With this new specification, the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 has a somewhat more “civilised” look, but loses 20 km/h of top speed, leaving the maximum speed at 300 km/h. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration remains at 3.7 seconds.

Customers who opt for one of the 15 units of the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 that will be offered in the Touring version, hand-built at the Warwickshire Technical Centre, will be able to choose body colours of blue, orange, grey and green, with the Project 8’s adhesive decorative stripes eliminated and available as an option.
