Jaguar XFR-S 2013, the super saloon arrives
The Jaguar is an English luxury saloon with a V8 engine producing 550 CV of power. It will be available on the market from summer onwards at a price that has not yet been specified. It will come in limited units.

After first teasing the new creation of Jaguar, the XFR-S, it has been unveiled worldwide just one day before its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. This super saloon, which will go head to head with models such as the Audi RS6 or the BMW M5, will be sold in limited numbers at a price above €120,000. It will reach the European and American markets at the end of summer.
In terms of exterior design, it features a more aggressive front bumper with larger lower, central and side air intakes, improving engine cooling, a front splitter made of carbon fibre and side skirts. At the rear there is a larger bumper that incorporates a carbon fibre diffuser. A spoiler above the boot completes the aerodynamics of the English saloon.
All the carbon fibre parts have either been painted matt black or retain their original finish. The bodywork is complemented by new six-spoke light alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli tyres measuring 265/35 R20 at the front and 295/30 R20 at the rear axle.

ENGINE
The Jaguar XFR-S houses under its bonnet a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine capable of delivering 550 CV of power to the rear wheels, 40 more than the XFR. It is the same powerplant used by its coupé sibling, the XKR-S, with which it shares many of its aerodynamic and mechanical components. The exhaust system has been modified to improve the soundtrack this family monster is capable of producing.
The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 4.6 seconds, and it is capable of reaching 300 km/h. With these figures it will be a strong rival for its German enemies, although from my point of view both the Audi, the BMW and the Mercedes-Benz are better, and I don’t say this because of their engine, their cornering or their lap times, but because of the beautiful blend they achieve between elegance and sportiness. The Jaguar offers only sportiness and luxury.
The eight-speed automatic gearbox is connected directly to the engine and is capable of detecting how the car is being driven by monitoring acceleration and braking, G-forces, pressure on the brake pedal and kick-down requests, adapting to the driver and improving its efficiency at all times.
