Je Design shows us its peculiar Volkswagen Touareg

Je Design is back and, this time, based on the huge Volkswagen Touareg, which is undoubtedly something to be thankful for, since I was starting to get a bit tired of seeing the obsession with which every more or less renowned tuner had taken to the poor Porsche Cayenne.

Now, if we look at the vehicle presented by Je Design, we find a Touareg modified with a new body kit which, apart from installing new front, rear and side bumpers, also features new front and rear fenders to widen this enormous SUV even further, all for the modest price of 5,355 euros including VAT.

If, on top of this enormous kit, you want to install the new exhaust system, which is highly recommended so that the body kit doesn’t look “unbalanced”, you will have to shell out another 595 euros. On the other hand, the huge 22-inch alloy wheels, whose price has not been revealed, can be painted in whatever colour the owner chooses.

Mechanically, Je Design has worked on the Touareg equipped with the huge 3.0-litre TSFI V6, which has gone from 379 hp to an truly impressive 440 hp and 630 Nm, thanks, among other things, to a remap of both the ECU and the turbo. Thanks to this power increase, this huge Touareg can now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, versus 6.5 for the standard version, or reach a top speed of 255 km/h instead of the 240 km/h of the standard Touareg.

The price of all these upgrades amounts to 3,999 euros, which includes a one-year engine warranty that can be extended to two years for just 199 euros more. Finally, if you are interested in the project, I should mention that adding an electronic air suspension will mean going back to the workshop, this time at a cost of 1,428 euros.
