Jeep Gladiator Far Out Final Edition: the last goodbye to Europe

The North American manufacturer has just unveiled a final special edition of its Gladiator as a farewell to the old continent

Although the history of the last Jeep with a rear cargo bed dates back almost 30 years, the North American manufacturer decided to bring back its Jeep Gladiator in 2021, a pick-up with outstanding off-road capabilities, great versatility and flexible storage thanks to its generous cargo bed, and a powerful diesel engine perfect for any work task.

However, the brand’s commitment to electrification has led it to bid farewell to this iconic model in the European market, where it is only offered with a diesel engine. This has prompted the manufacturer to present a special edition called Jeep Gladiator FarOut Final Edition as the final chapter in the sales of its Gladiator.

A tougher look

Based on the Gladiator Overland, the new FarOut Final Edition features numerous special elements that give it a striking appearance from the outside, as well as a more premium and practical interior with the best in quality and technology from the brand.

Starting with the most distinctive exterior updates, there is a seven-slot grille inherited from the Wrangler, a metal plate bearing the “FarOut Edition” badge on the tailgate, and several decals on the wheel arches with the phrase “freedom fender”. In addition, the special edition Gladiator rides on 18-inch black alloy wheels, side steps signed by Mopar, and a three-piece hard top painted in the same colour as the bodywork. In total, seven exterior colours are available.

Luxury all the way

Moving to the interior, the Jeep Gladiator FarOut Final Edition comes with fully washable upholstery, McKinley leather seats that are heated, as is the steering wheel, a nine-speaker Alpine Premium audio system, and numerous driver assistance systems such as blind spot detection, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control and automatic high beam control.

Under the bonnet, the special edition retains the same 2,987 cc V6 diesel engine, producing 194 kW (260 CV) and 600 Nm of torque.
