Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept: one hundred percent electric, one hundred percent Jeep

With the Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept, the American brand aims to make it clear that its future all-electric models will not give up the essence of Jeep even when it comes to driving off the asphalt.

While the new Wagoneer S clearly targets the more “refined” luxury SUV segment, the Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept is a true statement of intent: yes, an all-electric Jeep can also carry the Trailhawk name, with everything that entails.

No performance figures are announced for this prototype, but the starting point is clear: the STLA Large platform, two electric motors, one per axle, with a combined system output of 600 CV and, at least on the SUV, a range of more than 500 km, thanks to its 100 kWh battery. Here, in this prototype that clearly previews what a future street-going Trailhawk version will be, the aim is to take “off-road exploration to the next level”.

Ready for adventure

To that end, the Selec-Terrain four-wheel-drive system adds a Rock programme to the Auto, Sand, Snow, Eco and Sport modes, along with an electronic rear-axle lock that the driver can engage at will. Enhanced 4×4 geometry, with a clearly raised suspension, is of course also key. And the specific Falken WildPeak A/T off-road tyres, which on the concept car are fitted to 18-inch wheels.

To set it apart from the SUV version, this Wagoneer Trailhawk also features a distinctive illuminated grille, a tow hook finished in orange, decorative vinyls, aluminium roof bars and a panoramic roof that can be opened.

Inside, the Wagoneer S Trailhawk boasts of being equipped for adventure, with synthetic upholstery finished in green and “real stone inspired by meteorites” trim, matched with dark anodised metal details in red. The front passenger has a grab handle integrated into the dashboard that is designed to attach equipment and accessories.

On the doors and the centre console, Jeep has fitted a modular load management system that includes elastic straps to help organise the equipment carried on board better.
