Kia EV9: the electric SUV that challenges the limits of technology and sustainability
The new electric Kia EV9 combines a powerful SUV identity with an elegant driving style, redefining the lifestyle in the era of electrification.

The Kia EV9 is the new electric SUV from the Korean brand, and promises to change the game in the automotive industry with its futuristic design and advanced electric propulsion technology. By betting on sustainable mobility, the Korean company wants to become a new provider of mobility solutions, not just a brand that sells cars. A goal that other manufacturers are also pursuing.
With a high-capacity lithium-ion battery, the EV9 is able to deliver a range of almost 500 kilometres and ultra-rapid charging technology with a charging power of more than 200 kW. This allows drivers to enjoy longer journeys without worrying about range, being able to stop for short fast-charging sessions.
In addition, the Kia EV9 combines a powerful SUV identity with an elegant electric vehicle style. Although Kia had already bet on electric cars such as the Kia Niro EV or the Kia Soul EV, the Kia EV9 has received a great deal of praise and has been considered one of the most promising electric SUVs on the market. In this article, we will explore the features and functionalities of the Kia EV9, which will reach the market at the end of March.

Ergonomic interior
The interior of the Kia EV9 is just as impressive as its exterior, with a futuristic design that includes a wide range of advanced technologies. The vehicle has a fairly spacious cabin, with room for up to 7 passengers. The seats are upholstered in synthetic leather and have an ergonomic design that provides support and comfort during long journeys. It features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that displays detailed information about the vehicle’s performance and its electric propulsion system, and also provides access to the wide variety of functions and features available in the EV9.

In the centre of the dashboard is a 14.3-inch touchscreen that controls the vehicle’s infotainment system. Below it are a series of touch buttons for start/stop, heating, ventilation and air conditioning functions.
The EV9 also features a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control and a wireless charging system for mobile devices. In short, it is designed to provide a comfortable and satisfying driving experience for all occupants of the vehicle.
Sporty and futuristic exterior
The new SUV from the Korean brand features a futuristic, aerodynamic exterior design that reflects its advanced electric propulsion technology and sets it apart from other SUVs on the market. The vehicle’s grille is fully closed, with integrated lighting that gives the car a distinctive, modern and dynamic appearance. Instead of a traditional grille for air intake, Kia has opted for a closed grille that not only improves the vehicle’s aerodynamics, but also houses the front lighting. This is possible because electric vehicles do not need an open grille to cool the engine as combustion-engine cars do. The bodywork features a series of clean, fluid lines that give it an elegant and dynamic look.

The EV9 also has a corresponding regenerative braking system, which converts kinetic energy into electricity and stores it to extend the vehicle’s range. At the rear, it features a series of LED lights that extend across the full width of the vehicle, giving it a distinctive and elegant look. It also has an adjustable air suspension system, allowing the driver to adjust the vehicle’s ride height to suit different types of terrain.
The platform on which the new electric KIA SUV is built is the so-called E-GMP, which models such as the Kia EV6 or the Hyundai Ioniq 5 also use within the same Group.
