KIA Stonic, the renewed Korean SUV unveiled with more technology and cleaner powertrains
The compact crossover designed for urban environments has been updated and presents a similar look, though with more technology and connectivity.

In 2017 the KIA Stonic arrived, a bet by the Korean brand for urban mobility, and it was a real success. It started with a 2% market share and now already accounts for 22% of its segment. Halfway through its commercial life, the time has come to start introducing changes and updating this model’s line-up. This is not a new generation, so what we will find are small aesthetic and equipment changes, although the underlying base remains the same.
As for dimensions, we find exactly the same proportions, among which the wheelbase stands out. It offers a wheelbase of 2.58 metres, which allows a comfortable and pleasant interior space. The boot offers 352 litres of capacity, so it is quite practical for getting around. Of course, always bearing in mind the limitations of a car of this size.

New GT Line trim
The Kia Stonic has few aesthetic changes. The front fog lights, new 16-inch alloy wheels and the use of LED technology in the lights stand out. However, they have presented the new Stonic GT Line range. This has its own features, with a front end that presents a more dynamic look. Three air intakes have been added below the grille and new headlights have been fitted. The 17-inch alloy wheels add an extra touch to the overall look.

At the rear, a new diffuser, exclusive reflectors and a dual exhaust outlet can be seen. Inside, you can find a flat-bottomed steering wheel and upholstery in fabric and leather. The instrument panel incorporates a small 4.2-inch screen that offers information about consumption and other data.
The information and entertainment system screen comes as standard on all trims. It is an 8-inch screen whose functions improve as you move up the trim levels. You can find Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, both wireless and capable of handling two devices, along with other quite practical features.
Petrol and mild-hybrid engines
The diesel option has been dropped, as it is not usually found in this segment. In the case of the KIA Stonic the range is limited to three engines, all petrol. The first is a naturally aspirated 1.2 unit, which delivers 84 CV. The second option is a turbocharged 1.0 engine, offering 100 and 120 CV. These two versions feature 48-volt mild hybridisation, which makes it a very appealing car for city driving.
In addition, depending on the trim it incorporates quite a few driver assistance systems, which improves the driving experience. The price of this model ranges from 13,200 to 21,694 euros, depending on the trim and whether you take advantage of the various launch and financing discounts offered by the brand.
