Knaus Sun i, the luxury motorhome arriving this year

The motorhome market is seeing the creation of leisure vehicles that offer more complete equipment during holiday periods, such as Knaus’s new model, which this year will be reinforced with even more equipment

The new Knaus Sun i represents the brand’s new luxury range of motorhomes, designed to make holiday routes more comfortable than we have seen so far. The market for this type of leisure vehicle is always moving, and we are going to take a closer look at it to show you the Knaus Sun i, a very well-equipped motorhome with features that caught our attention, as you will see in the image gallery.

This model is powered by the Fiat Ducato engine, which delivers 128 CV. This engine provides enough energy to power the substantial equipment included in this model. Among the technology added is a large outdoor television and the option to control the interior lighting through a smartphone app.

This motorhome is 8.82 metres long and weighs a considerable 3,760 kg. This size and weight allow for a very comfortable interior. The sofas convert into a Queen Size bed and two single beds, allowing four people to sleep comfortably.

This motorhome follows the line of recent proposals which, like cars, seek to combine connectivity with mobile phones with their offering

But what we liked most are the gadgets fitted to this vehicle, designed to make the free time spent travelling in this motorhome enjoyable. We particularly liked the outdoor entertainment system, consisting of a 32-inch television installed on the exterior and properly protected. This screen comes with two Bluetooth headphones, designed so that you can watch television at a suitable volume without disturbing the neighbours. A nice touch, and not just for the users.

It also has a screen inside, which can be hidden behind one of the seats, so it stays out of sight when not in use and can be used only when needed. In addition, it has a hidden drawer in the floor which, at the touch of a button, raises the contents up to about 40 cm, making access more comfortable.

The kitchen is equipped with three burners, a sink, a 190-litre fridge and other conveniences, while there is also a bathroom with the washbasin separated into its own space and a shower with a screen, so that showering is also very pleasant. An gas oven can also be fitted, and it has a capacity of 180 litres of fresh water and a 190-litre waste water tank. It also features an air conditioning system, an optional extra designed for leisure, and even an alarm to keep all the equipment safe.

It was presented last year at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon, where it was launched with a price of 97,400 euros for the European market. This year they will present new options for the model, seeking to complement what they already offer.
