Lamborghini Aventador S 50th Anniversary: five units for Japan only

Lamborghini is one of those brands that spreads across the entire world, and they wanted to commemorate the 50 years they have been established in Japan. The Italian brand arrived on the Asian continent with the Lamborghini 400GT, seeking to increase its sales. Fifty years later, they can proudly say they have achieved it. But to celebrate it, they have also thought of their Japanese customers, and they want to offer them a very special product.

The Lamborghini Aventador S has dressed up for Japan. A special edition has been created – and limited – of the most daring supercar from the Italian firm. This edition will consist of five exclusive units of the Roadster version of the Aventador, and each of them will represent one of the five elements of nature: water, fire, earth, sky and wind.

Each of the Aventador 50th Anniversary Japan features exclusive paintwork carried out by the design department of the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand. The paint features different shadow effects that are reflected depending on the light. For example, in the case of the Aventador representing water, we can observe a blue color that tends toward black at certain moments. Achieving this special paint layer takes 170 hours of work. The body color is also combined with various parts of the Aventador in carbon fiber, as usual.

The interior has also been modified, and some details can be observed that are not present in a standard Aventador S. The materials found in the cabin of this fiercest bull are first-class. The seats are upholstered in Alcantara with a “Y” design, representing bamboo. In each Aventador S, a hexagonal carbon fiber plate has been installed that integrates the symbol corresponding to each of the five elements that inspired the design of these Lamborghini.

As far as the mechanical section is concerned, we find no variation. The Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster 50th Anniversary still retains the same naturally aspirated V12 that develops 740 CV and catapults it to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds. This makes it the second most powerful Aventador in history, with the SV’s permission, of course.

The celebration event included a gathering of several Lamborghini that inhabit Japan. Several historic vehicles of the brand participated, such as the Miura SV. Without a doubt, the brand’s Japanese customers will be very happy, as they will be able to add a very special vehicle to their collection.
