Lamborghini pays tribute to the Miura, the great V12 supercar, with a special edition

Lamborghini has wanted to pay tribute to the Miura, its first supercar equipped with a V12 engine, and has done so by dressing the Aventador in the colours and features of this veteran car, in a special edition of which only 50 units will be made

The Lamborghini Miura has been one of the most remembered supercars of all time. It was the first car of these formidable characteristics to fit a V12 engine at the Italian brand, and its name has passed into history with unstoppable force. 50 years have passed since the model arrived, and the Italian brand did not want to let the occasion pass and has launched a special edition of the Lamborghini Aventador, another of those legendary cars it has in its back catalogue, as a tribute to its most emblematic car.

And it has done so by adding one unit for each year since its launch. Fifty cars that will leave the Lamborghini factory and that have already been almost entirely sold. The Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage has been created by the Lamborghini’s Ad Personam studio, based on the Miura and giving the Aventador an appearance that aims to recall the trajectory of the other model.

The bodywork seeks to reflect the colour of the first Miura models. The upper part is a single colour, while the lower part is a contrasting colour. These cars were launched in several body colours, although for the special edition of the Aventador Miura Homage only six of those original colours have been chosen, among which the Rosso Arancio Miura, Verde Scandal and Blu Tahiti stand out.

The 20- and 21-inch Dione wheels, in matt silver or black. A plate with the name Miura, the Lamborghini logo in black on the rear and an accreditation plate showing it belongs to the special edition are other elements that identify it.

Inside there are two finishes. The first is finished in Nero Ade, while the other is the Terra Emilia finish. The word Miura is embroidered in gold or silver on the upper part of the seats, just as Lamborghini is on the dashboard. The V12 engine of the Aventador Miura Homage, a 6.5-litre unit that produces 700 CV at 8,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 690 Nm at 5,500 rpm, with a top speed of 350 km/h.

It will be seen at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the model’s first buyers will be able to see it before delivery. Do you want to see it a little better?
