The Italian supercar manufacturer, once a tractor builder, Lamborghini has recently produced its 4,000th unit of its star model, the Murciélago. Four thousand examples of this highly exclusive car are now driving the streets around the world, a historic figure, and the last unit, number four thousand, will have special significance for its owner, a private Chinese buyer.

The six-and-a-half-litre petrol V12 gains a slight increase of 30 CV to reach a respectable 670 CV. It also sheds around 100 kilos in weight, bringing the power-to-weight ratio to 2.3. The 0-100 km/h sprint is worthy of an F1 car, 3.2 seconds, and it will reach 342 km/h.

Obviously it will have some distinctive styling details so that its owner can show it off at parties without having to explain that it is unit number four thousand. They will probably explain it anyway, but at least the exterior details can be pointed out so guests can confirm it online.

Four thousand Murciélagos is a milestone for the Italian brand, and exports to the luxury Asian market are extremely important for the manufacturer: a quarter of its production is built there. However, this unit was built in Sant’Agata Bolognese to carry all the glamour that comes from the Italian country.
