Lamborghini Urus by Novitec: 782 horsepower of pure eccentricity

The Lamborghini Urus by Novitec is the new creation of the German tuner and arrives with a more aggressive look and an extra dose of power.

Novitec is a company specialising in preparing cars that are already radical enough to become even more so. That is why we have already seen models such as the Ferrari 488 Pista by Novitec or the Lamborghini Aventador S by Novitec.

However, it seems clear that we are living in the SUV craze, so supercar brands are succumbing to this trend and launching their own interpretations of what a supercar means to them. This is what happened with the Lamborghini Urus, a model presented in 2017 that carries all the pedigree of the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand in XL format.

Two years after its launch, Novitec has decided to apply one of its treatments to raise the power of the production Lamborghini Urus by up to 132 horsepower. As a result, the Lamborghini Urus by Novitec reaches 782 horsepower thanks to its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 heart.

Thanks to the improvements the tuner has made to the engine, the Lamborghini Urus by Novitec is capable of reaching 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, that is, 3 tenths less than the standard model. Top speed has also improved, rising from 305 km/h to break the 310 km/h barrier.

In addition, the adaptive air suspension has had its setting lowered by 25 mm, so the ride height of this car is now closer to that of a conventional saloon than to that of a crossover.

Its styling has also been reworked: at the front, there has been a diet of carbon fibre. If the customer feels their Lamborghini Urus is too discreet, Novitec offers a body kit that widens the car by 10 cm at the front and a further 12 cm at the rear.

The bumpers have been redesigned to properly accommodate the air intakes, and at the rear a small spoiler has been added to the tailgate and another above the rear window. In addition, the rear diffuser has gained even more presence and four rectangular exhaust outlets have been fitted.

As might be expected, the wheels are not the biggest symbol of discretion, since their diameter is no less than 23 inches. They are fitted with Pirelli P Zero tyres measuring 285/35 on the front axle and 325/30 on the rear axle, and can be painted in as many as 72 different shades.

The interior has seen no changes to its styling, but the personalisation options have been greatly expanded. Novitec not only aims to satisfy the needs of the most eccentric buyers, but has assured that it can cater to “even the most refined request” with a wide range of colours, designs and very high-quality materials.
