Latest-generation infotainment for the classic Jaguar and Land Rover
Jaguar Land Rover Classic has developed a range of multimedia systems so that its classic cars can be fitted with audio equipment, Bluetooth or satellite navigation.
Recently we saw how Jaguar dared to electrify an icon of the classic car world with its Jaguar Type-E electric. Now, the British brand, through its Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works division, surprises with the announcement of a new range of modern infotainment systems… for its classic models.

We don’t know whether the idea responds to demand from owners of the brand’s classic vehicles. The normal expectation is that a classic car owner wants to keep it as close to its original state as possible. But here is the offer from Jaguar and Land Rover. For all those who want superior sound quality, an up-to-date navigation system, or features that are so essential today if you want to keep driving safely, such as the ability to connect your mobile device to the car… even though it’s a car that is more than 50 years old.

Bluetooth, radio and navigation: nothing is missing!
o The range of infotainment systems offers four designs, two for Jaguar models and two for Land Rover vehicles, trying to combine classic design with the current functions of these units. In addition to hybrid AM/FM and DAB radio, they include Bluetooth connectivity, a navigation system and a high-resolution touchscreen measuring 3.5 inches diagonally.

Best of all, Jaguar and Land Rover Classic have kept the spirit of the models these systems are intended for, retaining an undeniable “vintage” style, unlike the Jaguar E-Type electric that serves as the opening image for this article. In addition, features such as 3D map display and traffic alerts have been added. The entire catalogue of available systems can be viewed at www.jaguarclassicparts.com. Prices start at £1,200 (around 1,350 euros), with the option of having the fitting service carried out at the facilities of Jaguar and Land Rover Classic Works. It can be done at the headquarters where this division is based, in Warwickshire (United Kingdom), or at authorised Jaguar and Land Rover dealerships.
