Lexus LS TMG Edition (650 hp)

What is Lexus preparing? Will it go on sale or will it be just a prototype? Whatever the Japanese firm’s goal, the Lexus LS TMG (Toyota Motorsport GmbH) Edition has a breathtaking calling card (check the spec sheet after the break). There is no information on whether the engine is naturally aspirated or turbocharged, but it is known to displace 5 litres, produce 650 CV and generate 710 Nm of torque. Its maximum speed is 9,000 rpm.

Given these figures, it is understandable that, although it measures over 5 metres and weighs 2,070 kg, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 320 km/h. The tyre size data is also striking: no less than 295/35/ R20 at the front and 345/30 R20 at the rear.

If this project becomes a reality, models such as the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG and the Audi S8 will struggle to match the LS TMG Edition in pure performance. It will be interesting to see whether BMW has something in the works with similar characteristics to rival these super saloons.
