Lexus UX 300h, an update we had been waiting for, and one that brings quite a few improvements
The new version of the Lexus UX features a new plug-in hybrid drive system and a battery that gives it an electric range of up to 115 km.

The Lexus UX has been through the workshops to present a new update, which will arrive in the form of the Lexus UX 300h. It not only brings news in design but will also feature changes to the plug-in hybrid drive system. On the outside, we find a new colour, Copper Petra, which gives it a more elegant touch and a very attractive look, as it changes shade depending on the light.
With this colour, the bodywork offers 12 options. In addition, there are other options with two-tone combinations, with black contrasting with the body colour and giving the car a touch of distinction.

State-of-the-art technological equipment
Inside, we find technological equipment that lives up to what users expect. The Proactive Driving Assist uses a front camera to detect hazards when driving at low speed in the city. It detects pedestrians, cyclists or other parked vehicles and acts on the brakes and steering to avoid impact.
Another safety feature is the Emergency Stop Signal, which activates automatically if there is a risk of collision due to a vehicle approaching from behind. The Safe Exit Assist provides a visual alert when opening the door and a vehicle is approaching from behind. If you start to open the door and it detects an approaching vehicle, it sounds a beep.

Facing the driver, the Facial Recognition system Driver Monitor uses images from a camera mounted on the steering wheel to monitor the driver’s condition. If it detects signs of tiredness or discomfort, it activates visual and acoustic alerts. Furthermore, if the driver does not respond, the vehicle takes control and gradually comes to a stop, using the hazard lights as a warning.
New plug-in hybrid powertrain
The Lexus UX 300h uses the new plug-in hybrid drive system that replaces the previous one, found in the UX 250h. It consists of a 2.0-litre engine and a higher-capacity lithium-ion battery. Power has been increased to 199 CV. In addition, with the larger battery it can run in fully electric mode for up to 115 kilometres.
The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is 8 seconds in the front-wheel-drive versions and 7.9 seconds in the versions with E-Four all-wheel drive. As for consumption, this new Lexus UX 300h offers 5 litres per 100 kilometres, with emissions of 114 grams per kilometre.
To improve engine efficiency, the new Lexus UX 300h has several driving modes: ECO, NORMAL, SPORT, and the sportier versions SPORT+ and CUSTOM, which change how various elements of the vehicle behave to improve its response and handling according to the specific needs of each moment.
