Lingenfelter shows what its 1,243-horsepower Camaro is capable of

Lingenfelter, a stubborn tuner always pushing engine performance further, has just demonstrated what its latest project is capable of: a Chevrolet Camaro built specifically to race, of course, in drag racing.
To that end, Lingenfelter’s first goal was simple: replace the SS’s V8 with its bigger brother, the fully modified LS9 V8, featuring new elements such as an Eaton turbo, titanium intake valves… and the removal of anything that could obstruct the engine’s exhaust gas flow.
After all this work, the result has been simply magnificent: no less than 1,243 horsepower. As expected with such power, Lingenfelter has installed a new transmission capable of safely handling that output, along with a new clutch and differential.
Without further ado, here is a video of John Ebert, the driver of this wheeled monster, completing the quarter mile in 8.99 seconds at a speed of 158 mph or 254.28 km/h
