Lister plans to create the most powerful SUV in the world based on the Jaguar F-Pace

The Jaguar F-Pace has been spotted with camouflage on the streets of England. It is the latest creation from Lister, which houses a 670 CV V8 engine.

A few days ago we told you about the latest creation from Lister, the Jaguar F-Type Lister Thunder, but it seems it is not the only surprise the English tuner has in store for us. As is customary with this company, Jaguar is once again the chosen partner for carrying out another creation. Specifically, they have chosen the F-Pace as the test subject, with the aim of creating the most powerful SUV in the world and overtaking its main rivals.

Lister has been working with Jaguar since the 1950s, a date on which the British company gained extensive experience in the world of racing. However, on this occasion they are not going to build a competition vehicle as such, since the Jaguar F-Pace is presented as a luxury SUV set to deliver the performance of a true supercar. To date, several camouflaged units of this new creation have been seen driving along English roads, and it will most likely make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

It was in 2016 that the British firm announced what would be its first SUV, the F-Pace. Today it coexists alongside another off-roader whose lifespan is considerably shorter, as it was presented just a few months ago. However, production time is not a matter of great importance for Lister, since in barely two years they have decided to make a fine-tuning adjustment to the Jaguar 4×4.

As standard, the F-Pace is offered with several engines, to be more precise, two diesels and two petrols. The most modest engine in the off-roader delivers 180 CV from a four-cylinder diesel, a figure that rises to 300 CV in the next powertrain using the same fuel. As for the petrol engines, there are two 3.0-litre V6s producing 340 and 380 CV respectively.

Without a doubt, an SUV with nearly 400 CV is a good combination when it comes to performance, but Lister does not share this view. The English tuner has decided to fit the same supercharged V8 found in the F-Type Thunder, which translates into 670 CV of power and 977 Nm of torque. With these impressive figures, Jaguar and Lister intend to challenge any off-roader that dares to stand up to the British model. Without further ado, we will not have to wait long to witness a comparison with the Bentley Bentayga and the new Lamborghini Urus, two tough rivals battling for the title of fastest SUV.

We must admit that Jaguar knows how to create vehicles with a radical and sporty approach, but Lister always backs them up with a fine-tuning adjustment. We will have to wait a few weeks to fully see what lies beneath the camouflage of the F-Pace, but everything points to us being in the presence of the most powerful and efficient off-roader in the world in terms of speed and performance.
