Bugatti updates the interior of the Bolide with optimised racing seats, a high-tech steering wheel and personalised layouts

Bugatti, the renowned French luxury car maker, has decided to give its top-of-the-range model, the Bugatti Bolide, one of the finest interiors we have seen from the brand. The cabin has been designed with high-performance motoring in mind at all times, combining exquisite craftsmanship with unmatched luxury in an experience where all our senses will be fully engaged in a unique sensory journey. To this end, Bugatti has given this masterpiece a stronger and more rigid monocoque than its Chiron model.
That said, customers have the option to personalise the interior of this creation, and to that end the test drive experts, designers and engineers at Bugatti are carrying out the final tests and modifications so that each example has a unique and incomparable touch in every respect.

A truly luxurious interior
Thanks to the fitting of a stronger monocoque, the seat position has been improved, placing the driver with the heels slightly raised and the passenger at an optimal angle towards the nose of the Bolide. The seats are mounted directly on the monocoque, guaranteeing a solid connection between the driver and the hypercar.

Forming a link with the Bolide’s distinctive exterior DNA, the X-shaped rear lights at the back of the vehicle frame a new and striking central exhaust configuration. This ‘X’ themed design blends masterfully with the Bolide’s cabin, and also features a lightweight climate control system that channels airflow from a symmetrical quad system with aluminium nozzles. The steering wheel, the central element of the ‘X-theme‘ design, proves to be a masterpiece in both functionality and aesthetics.

The development process of the Bolide’s ‘X-theme’ steering wheel incorporates the latest high-tech 3D modelling software and advanced polygonal techniques, borrowed from the games and visual effects industries. Inside, we also find two display interfaces for interacting with and monitoring real-time data accurately and easily to interpret, and the racing seats incorporate outer backrest and headrest pads that open with the door, creating an accessible and comfortable space for getting into the vehicle.

The precise arrangement of the multiple padding helps to significantly reduce weight, a milestone for Bugatti, making the Bolide the first model with fixed seats, while the steering wheel and pedals remain adjustable to suit each driver’s individual needs. With four seat size options and the possibility of customising materials, from leather to Alcantara, the Bolide adapts to the specific and unique shapes of each customer.
