Looking for a more radical Ford Focus RS? Mountune gets it up to nearly 400 CV
British tuner Mountune has unveiled a high-performance package that raises the power of the Ford Focus RS to nearly 400 CV.

The possibility of Ford launching an even more radical version of the Focus RS was ruled out when the brand announced that it would not produce the RS 500, an interpretation of the sporty compact that could produce around 400 CV. Fortunately, the British tuner Mountune has unveiled a performance package that will allow Focus RS owners to increase its performance.
A few months ago, the American brand launched the special edition of the sporty compact, the Focus RS Limited Edition, but in that case the only revision the model received was cosmetic. Now, Mountune offers for the first time a high-performance package for the Focus RS that increases its performance by 45 CV, bringing the total to 394 CV, and 90 Nm of torque, up to 560 Nm.

The British tuner’s kit costs £3,495 (3,853 euros at the current exchange rate) and includes the following elements: an optimised turbo recirculation valve, a high-flow induction kit, a recalibrated ECU, a new intercooler, several components in the exhaust system and a series of Mountune badges distributed around the car.
Mountune also offers an exhaust manifold that would allow the sporty compact to exceed 400 CV. “For those who want to go beyond 400 CV with their Focus RS, Mountune also sells several engine block upgrades, along with a reinforced gearbox and a set of forged pistons and connecting rods. If you want to go even further with the car, it is possible to build a true monster,” says Mountune.
Unlike other Mountune high-performance packages, the new kit has not been approved by the brand, which means we would lose our warranty if we decided to fit the package on our Focus RS.
