Looking for a Premium diesel SUV with an ECO label? Keep an eye on the new versions of the Audi Q5
The Audi SUV now has TDI versions with an ECO label, thanks to the incorporation of Mild Hybrid technology in the Audi Q5 35 TDI S tronic and Q5 40 TDI quattro S tronic models.
Interesting new additions to the Audi Q5 range include two new versions with Mild Hybrid micro-hybrid technology, which means they benefit from the advantages of the DGT ECO label. They join the only two Audi Q5 models that have carried the ECO label until now: on one hand, the 45 TFSI with the 245 CV 2.0 petrol engine; on the other, the powerful and exclusive Audi SQ5 TDI.

With these new variants, the Audi range now has 75% of its Q5 line-up electrified. And the entry-level Audi Q5 has dropped its price by around 10% compared with the previous version. This is the Q5 35 TDI S tronic, which includes MHEV technology and drops all-wheel drive to reach a starting price from 45,050 euros.

Without a doubt, an excellent setup for the “basic” Q5, which has plenty of performance from the 163 CV 2.0 TDI engine. It accelerates to 100 km/h from a standstill in 9 seconds and exceeds a top speed of 210 km/h, with a homologated average consumption under the WLTP cycle of less than 6 l/100 km.
New entry version with 4×2 traction and more power for the 40 TDI
In the case of the Audi Q5 40 TDI quattro S tronic Mild Hybrid, it delivers 204 CV, an increase of 14 CV. Best of all, in addition to the advantages of the ECO label, it offers improvements in performance and consumption.

This version now reaches a top speed of 222 km/h, shaving half a second off the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration to record a time of 7.6 s. Its homologated average consumption is 6.5 l/100 km, and the starting price of this version is 52,070 euros.

Another important novelty in the Audi Q5 range is the price reduction on the technology package, one of the most popular options. It includes MMI Navigation plus, the multifunction plus steering wheel, the Audi Virtual Cockpit instrument display and the rear-view camera for 1,000 euros, a 60% saving compared with the cost of these options separately.
